155 enterprise conducting shady transactions investigated
Testing the enterprises minimizing payment of the VAT by using tax invoices issued by contractors that are wanted, do not submit their reporting, are declared bankrupt constitutes a priority area of tax inspection, the press office of the STI in the Holosiivskii district in Kyiv reports.
From the year start the STI specialists of Holosiivskii district inspected 155 business entities that were causing suspicion due to absence of actual transactions worth about 155 million UAH. In the course of inspection, tax inspectors discovered 55 enterprises that formed schematic tax credit worth 26.5 million UAH. As a result, the budget received additional 11.6 million UAH of VAT from 85 business entities.
Companies with questionable business activities follow a certain hierarchy. Among companies with questionable business activities there is a certain hierarchy. Some of them directly shape a schematic tax credit, others reduce tax liability by including a schematic tax credit, or act as intermediaries between the former and latter.
Under the current trend, entities voluntarily refuse to use schematic tax credit. Yet separate instances of using shady schemes and void transactions persist.
Such offenders are found through "risk-oriented system" of automated monitoring. After that, the tax police determine a range of related parties, defines property rights to real estate owned by officers of these enterprises and their founders, bank secrecy of all participants in the system is disclosed etc.
