Hackers cracked one MyEtherWallet, one of the largest Ethereum-wallets, Insider.Pro reports.
For the first time, Reddit users informed: one of the clients lost all of his funds after he entered the system.
Later, the representatives of MyEtherWallet confirmed that one of DNS servers of the wallet was hacked. As the result of the attack, the hackers redirect users to the phishing website.
They also added that the problem occurred on the side of MyEtherWallet.
Currently, the project’s team attempts to find problem servers and handle the situation.
The cryptocurrency experts strongly recommend not entering personal wallets on MyEtherWallet before the problem is solved.
Twitter users report that the Russian hackers are involved in hacking servers, because the redirection sends users to Russian IP addresses. The amount of losses is estimated at 150 ths dollars, however, these numbers are not official.
