Bank schedule during New Year holidays

According to the Cabinet Resolution of 21 November 2013 № 920-r «On the transfer of working days in 2014» and due to the banking system completing operations in 2013, National Bank established a special work order in the period from 27 December until 31 December 2013 (inclusive) and in the early days of January 2014 for the banking system of Ukraine, as stated in the message of the NBU.

27 and December 30, 2013 electronic payment system of the National Bank (hereinafter - EPS) will function in the extended business day (by two hours).

30 December 2013 all customer transactions must be completed.

31 December 2013 before 13.00 all participants of EPS can make initial payments in EPS only between banking institutions subordinated to the same legal entity, as well as payments made for operating and regional branches of the National Bank and the State Treasury of Ukraine.

2 January 2014, banks will work with customers and provide complex of activities related to the start of the new reporting year. Inter-bank transfers through SEP in that day will not be made.

3 and 8 January 2014 EPS and banking system of Ukraine will operate as usual.

Business Day of the banking system of Ukraine from Monday 6 January 2014 is transferred to Saturday 11 January 2014.

1, 6, 25 January and 8 February 2014 EPS will not work.

In the period from 1 January to 7 January 2014 (inclusive) banks should ensure smooth operation of ATMs, cash support of different denominations for customer service.

If necessary, 1 and 2 January and from January 4 to 7 January 2014 (inclusive), banks can carry out cash transactions and foreign exchange transactions with foreign cash in currency exchange offices.

From 30 December 2013 to 7 January 2014 (inclusive) the official exchange rate of the hryvnia to foreign currencies and precious metals, set by the National Bank of Ukraine on 27 December 2013, will apply.
