The new state building regulations, which will come into force in Ukraine, were approved as per experience of Berlin, London as well as best U.S. cities, Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groisman said during the government session, Ukrinform’s correspondent reports.
“The state building regulations on planning and building development did not change since 2002. During such planning and building development, the old regulations are applied, which conform to builders and their wish to build more square meters and concentrate. There should be the civilized building development so that there are bike lanes, recreation areas etc. We build educational establishment according the old regulations of 1997. The building standard for pre-school institutions has not changed since 1998”, Groisman said.
According to Vice Prime Minister, Minister of Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Communal Services Gennady Zubko, new state building regulations implement the European approach to safety and comfort.
“This year, we changed 13 building regulations. Four main regulations – building development, pre-school institutions, streets and roads, educational establishments. We attracted the best experience of Berlin, London, U.S. cities. We managed to show how the decision should be approved: the height of the building should be marked on the general plan with blue line; the building density should be marked; the building of recreation areas should be limited by the green line”, Zubko emphasized.
He noted that the attention will also be given to infrastructure, parking, throughput capacity of roads and networks.
“The safety and accessibility should be in each house”, Zubko emphasized.
