Investigation has been initiated
The prosecutor’s bodies are supervising over the criminal proceedings in the case against seizure of the administrative building of the regional Prosecutor’s Office in Luhansk by a group of unidentified armed people, the press-office of the GPO reports.
The pre-trial investigation comes within article 341 (seizure of public and administrative buildings or constructions) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
It has been ascertained that furniture and equipment located in the building was damaged by offenders during the assault, a routine operation of the institution was hampered.
Besides, the pre-trial investigation involves scrutiny of facts and evidences related to the seizure of the building of city executive committee in Luhansk and administrative building of the Ministry of Interior’s Main Office in Luhansk oblast.
The criminal proceedings are under supervision of the senior officers of the Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine.
