A new ministerial department ensued after reorganization of the State Agency on Science, Innovation and Informatization
The government has formed a central executive body to deal with the issue of e-government having reorganized the State Agency on Science, Innovation and Informatization, which will be guided and coordinated by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine through the Vice Prime-Minister, Minister for Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Communal Services, the CMU’s press-service reports.
A relevant resolution of the CMU was endorsed on May 4, 2014.
According to the resolution, the Ministry of Education and Science is the assignee of rights and duties transferred by the State Agency on Science, Innovation and Informatization in tackling all the issues related to the government policy on science research, innovation, and technologies.
Thus, Ministry of Education and Science will be again responsible for managing research and advance science. This will allow building and expanding the infrastructure of scientific research, in particular, through convergence of higher education and science.
