From now on, NEC Ukrenergo will apply emergence load-shedding schedules
According to the press-office of PJSC Kyivenergo, the schedules of emergency power cuts will be applied solely to industrial enterprises and organizations in Kyiv, which are not attributed to the sphere of life sustenance, social security and housing.
“The core reason for applying the said schedules is that the integrated power system in Ukraine shows electricity shortages due to coal deficit at the thermal power plants and shutdown of the power-generating unit at the Zaporizhia nuclear power plant. To partially cover the energy output deficit in the integrated power system of Ukraine, power unit No.2 at TPP-6 has been additionally connected to the system, upon the instruction of the chief grid-control engineer”, - the message says.
According to the press-office, the use of emergency schedules to reduce the load on the energy system implies not more than 2 hours of energy cut-off for each consumer.
It is noted that Ukrainian energy system bears the maximum load on weekdays, from 8:00 to 11:00 a.m. and from 05:00 to 08:00 p.m.
