The ministry will be comprised of 20-30 persons
The Ministry of Information Policy will employ not more than 30 officials, with the budget amounting to some 4 billion hryvnias, Chair of the Ministry Yury Stets said at the meeting of the parliamentary committee dealing with issues of freedom of speech and information, according to a journalist from RBK-Ukraine (РБК-Україна).
“The Ministry will recruit 20-30 employees. I’ve submitted a staffing table for consideration of the CBU. The ministry’s annual budget won’t be over 4 million hryvnias”, - said Stets.
He said that the Ministry will prepare a concept of information security to be submitted for consideration of the parliament.
“The resolution on formation of the Ministry of Information Policy will be adopted after discussions with the public, and only after conducting meetings of the Verkhovna Rada’s committee tackling issues of freedom of speech and information, as well as the committee for national security and defence”, - the Minister underscored.
Significantly, on December 2, 2014, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine appointed a new cabinet of ministers with a new government department in charge. The Ministry is headed by Yury Stets, Member of Petro Poroshenko Block.
