Total number of cars produced by the Ukrainian manufacturers in December made up 504 motor vehicles, with a decline of 15.6% over the November figures (597 automobiles), and decreasing by 92.1% compared to 6 396 cars made in December last year, the message posted by the Ukravtoprom association says.
Passenger cars produced in December amounted to 257 units, with a decline of 31.5% over November, dropping by 95.4% as compared to the figures for a similar period a year ago.
Only the sector of light commercial vehicles reported an increase over the previous month, with 186 cars compared with 153 vehicles in November (+21.6%), however, showing a decline of 52.1% over December last year.
The figures for December showed a decrease in production by 11.6% - only 61 buses, as compared to the previous month, with a decline of 83.4% over December last year.
In total, last year the Ukrainian manufacturers produced 28 751 motor vehicles, with a decline of 43% over the figures in 2013.
Bus production in Ukraine declined most, with reportedly 906 vehicles made during the twelve months of the last year, and decreasing by 63.5% compared to the previous year.
Total number of buses made by Cherkassy Autobus, 347 vehicles, was the largest, as compared to other manufacturers, making up 38% out of industry’s aggregate data.
Production of passenger cars in 2014 dropped by 43.3%, up to 25 941 vehicles.
Cars rolled off the production lines at Zaporishie Automotive Manufacturing Plant reportedly amounted to 12 779 units, or 49% out of total industrial production – the highest annual volume data in industry.
Production of commercial cars declined less, by 15.2 percent, making up 1 904 vehicles.
In 2014, the leading manufacturer in commercial car production - AutoKrAZ, made 1 388 units making up 73 percent of total sector production.
