According to Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dd. January 30, 2015, under No.23, some provisions of the agreement between the government of Ukraine and Russian Federation on visa-free travel, the press-office of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine reports.
In particular, starting March 1, the citizens of Russia will not be able to entry, transit, stay and move across the territory of Ukraine having the RF passport or birth certificates (for children aged under 14) used before as credentials for cross-border travel.
To cross the border, the RF citizens should have the following documents:
passport of the citizen of the Russian Federation that ascertains identity outside the Russian Federation;
diplomatic passport;
staff identity card;
sailor’s identity card – with a role on a ship board, or its extract;
entry permit (return) to the Russian Federation (only to return to the Russian Federation);
flight crew member ID card.
All citizens of Ukraine, who arrive till March 1 in the territory of Ukraine, can exit its territory having the documents that were valid for entry.
Besides, an issue at hand is necessity for citizens of near frontier regions to have travel passports so that to cross the Ukrainian-Russian border solely through the inter-state and international border checkpoints, with permit to stay in the territory of Ukraine till 90 days since the date of entry.
