The parliamentarians have supported the draft resolution No 2396 enumerating the temporary occupied territories. By vote of 280 in favour, out of 226 required, parliamentarians have passed the decision, RBK-Ukraine (РБК-Україна) reports.
“The Verkhovna Rada determines certain districts, towns, villages and boroughs in Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts as temporary occupied, where the special self-government procedures will be implemented, according to the relevant law, until withdrawal of all illegitimate armed groups, military equipment and mercenaries, re-establishment of full control by Ukraine over the state border”,- Groisman read out the resolution.
He announced that the said resolution will come into force next day after publication in the official press.
Groisman noted that the resolution had been worked out and agreed with chiefs of five parliamentary groups constituting the coalition.
Prior to that, the Rada listed some areas in Donbas having given them the special status.
Thus, the list includes 85 urban areas in Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts. In particular, Luhansk Stanytsia, Shchastia, Triokhzubenka, Krasny Lyman, Slovianoserbsk, Pervomaisk, Nykyshyno, Vuglegirsk, Gorlivka, Dzerzhynsk, Yasynuvata, Avdiivka, Doslidne, Krasnogorivka, Mariinka, Starobesheve, Chermalyk, Shyrokino.
It’s worth noting that Donetsk, Luhansk and Debaltseve were not added to the list.
