From January through February 2015, around 65.7 thousand persons applied to the Accredited Centre for Digital Signature Certification at the NFS. The majority of them, more precisely 46.9 thousand, are natural persons. The number of legal persons that submitted their applications to the centre during the said period is 18.8 thousand persons, according to the data from the NFS’ press-office.
Since the beginning of 2015, the Accredited Centre for Digital Signature Certification has issued 186 thousand enhanced certificates for open public keys. Natural persons have obtained 104 thousand items, legal persons – 82 thousand keys.
In total, since its inception, the Centre has issued almost 3.4 million open public keys with enhanced security features.
It is worth noting that the keys have been issued free of charge, while commercial service centres provide only paid services.
Besides, using the electronic signature issued by the Centre, the taxpayers can report on-line not only to the NFS bodies but also to the national statistics authorities and Pension Fund.
