In Ukraine (excluding the temporarily occupied territory of Crimea and Sevastopol city) the industrial product price index in March 2015 was 110.5% compared to 104.8% in February 2015, RBK-Ukraine (RBK-Ukraine) reports with reference to the National Statistics Committee.
As compared to December 2014, the producer price index was 118.5% in February, and 151.7% - in March 2014.
In mining and quarrying, prices rose by 10.8% in March, including crude oil - by 47.0%, natural gas - by 15.3%, metal ores - 12.7%, hard coal, stone, sand and clay – by 1.1%
In processing industry, prices rose by 9.5%; in the metallurgical industry, manufacture of ready-made metal products, except machinery and equipment, an increase in price was 14.6%, principal pharmaceuticals and medicinal products – by 10.9%, rubber and plastic products, other non-metallic mineral products – by 9.4%, refined petroleum products – by 7.8%, electrical equipment - by 7.0%, chemicals and chemical products – by 5.9%. At the same time, the production of coke and coke products dropped by 1.1%.
The production of food, beverages and tobacco products reported a price increase of 10.7%. The largest (20.1% and 16.9%) price increase was reported in the production of tea and coffee, bread, bakery and pastry; price of meat and meat products, vegetable oils and animal fats milling industry, sugar, beverages, dairy products rose by 11.7-7.8%;
The tariff for electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning services increased by 13.4%, in particular, electricity - by 13.5% and thermal power - by 12.0%.
