The State Fiscal Service plans to refund the value-added tax (VAT) for UAH 65 billion in 2015, and until the end of the year UAH 19.5 bn of such debts have to be refunded, the Chairman of the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine Roman Nasirov said during the briefing, RBC-Ukraine (РБК-Украина) reports.

“UAH 45.5 billion of VAT have been refunded to accounts of tax-payers for these 9 months, UAH 25.5 billion out of them – automatically, and until the end of the year it is planned to refund about UAH 19.5 billion,” – said Nasirov.

SFS also considers the possibility to refund VAT through bonds. “I want that by the end of this year we will have refunded UAH 20 billion, which I have told about today…I think that the Ministry of Finance will be ready to provide even increased limit of VAT refund in money terms”, said Nasirov.

The main taxman did not exclude the option that VAT can be refunded with VAT bonds. “My position – they should be refunded with money. In case of shortage or insufficient amount of money, then this balance should better be refunded with VAT bonds. This option is being considered by the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine”, he added.

According to him, for first 8 months 2015 SFS refunded  on the average up to UAH 5 billion of VAT receivables per month, then during the last quarter this amount will make up UAH 7.5 billion per month and more.

In addition, the Head of Department informed that SFS collected UAH 341.4 billion of tax for 9 months of this year. “For the last 9 months the tax payers paid UAH 341.4 billion into state budget”, Nasirov said.

The main taxman reminded that such figure permitted to exceed the state budget 2015 for about UAH 20 billion, which allowed to raise social standards for UAH 15.3 billion.
