There will be negotiations with the US Secretary of Treasury regarding the terms and conditions for provision of additional credit guarantees for USD 1 billion to Ukraine, the Prime-Minister of Ukraine Arsenii Yatseniuk said, the CMU press-service reports.
Arsenii Yatseniuk said that on the 13th of November the US Secretary of Treasury Jacob Lew will come to Ukraine.
The head of government mentioned that USA has already provided USD 2 billion of credit guarantees to Ukraine.
“If Ukraine proceeds with necessary reforms for Ukrainian economy, social and humanitarian sector, we will be able to obtain additional credit guarantee for other USD 1 billion”, he stated.
Arsenii Yatseniuk emphasized that there will be negotiations with the US Secretary of Treasury and the Minister of Finance of Ukraine regarding the terms and conditions, on which the US government will provide the relevant credit guarantee to Ukraine, and regarding those measures, which Ukraine should do for implementation of reforms and compliance with main criteria of the program of cooperation with the International Monetary Fund.
The head of government also stated that the mission of the International Monetary Fund will come to Ukraine: “We will conduct negotiations with our western partners regarding social, economic and financial reforms in the country”.
