The relevant draft law has been endorsed by 234 people’s deputies.
The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine (VRU) has ratified the protocol on application of free trade area agreement dated October 18, 2011, between its parties and the Republic of Uzbekistan. The relevant draft law №0060 has been endorsed by 234 people’s deputies, RBC-Ukraine reports.
The specified protocol on application of Agreement on free trade area dated October 18, 2011, between its parties and the Republic of Uzbekistan was signed by Ukraine on May 31, 2013.
Thus, the adoption of law is the internal state procedure, necessary for coming into force of the Protocol, and will not require additional financial expenses from state budget.
It is emphasized that after coming into force of the protocol all provisions of the agreement on free trade area dated October 18, 2011, between the Republic of Uzbekistan and Parties of the Agreement, considering conditions, stipulated by the Protocol, will promote expansion of free trade area within CIS.
Pursuant to provisions of the Protocol: The Agreement between the Government of Ukraine and the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan on free trade dated December 29, 1994, is not cancelled
Rules for Determining the Country of Origin of Goods dated September 24, 1993, is not cancelled, as stipulated by Article 1 of the Agreement between the Government of Ukraine and the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan on free trade dated December 29, 1994.
Pursuant to provisions of the protocol Uzbekistan does not apply import and export duties to Ukraine.
