The moratorium has been extended till January 1, 2017.
The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has extended the term of moratorium for bankruptcy of the enterprise "National nuclear power generation company "Energoatom"" till January 1, 2017, RBC-Ukraine reports.
In total, 235 VRU deputies have voted for the relevant draft law №3097 in the first reading.
"The procedure of repayment of arrears by enterprises of fuel and energy complex is applicable till September 1, 2015, except for the state enterprise "National nuclear energy generating company "Energoatom", has strategic meaning for energy security of the country, for which the procedure of repayment of arrears is applicable till January 1, 2017", as it is said in the law.
The authors of the draft law explain that the main purpose of the draft law is creation of conditions for stable work of "NNEC "Energoatom"", prevention of violation of cases on "the artificial bankruptcy of the company" and ensuring energy security of the country.
"The adoption of this draft law will become the mechanism for prevention of downgrading of Ukraine's credit ratings and creation of cross default cases on international debts of the state and state enterprises", as it is emphasized in the explanatory note.
