The investigation revealed that the ex-President’s son caused damage to state for UAH 42.5 million.
The Pechersk District Court arrested 11 bank accounts in three banks, belonging to Alexander Yanukovych, as it is said in court rulings dated March 3, published in the Unified State Register of Court Decisions, Correspondent reports.
In particular, it is noted that the accounts of companies Mako Holding, Mako Aktiv, Building Investments Group were arrested.
The court also arrested 4 accounts in ING Bank NV (Netherlands), 5 accounts in Ukrbusinessbank and 2 accounts in the All-Ukrainian Development Bank (last 2 - liquidated).
The amounts of funds, which are on the mentioned accounts, are not specified in definition texts.
During the pretrial investigation it was established that during 2013, under the auspices of his father and other persons from country’s top leadership, Alexander Yanukovych organized the criminal scheme on assisting the companies of Mako group, belonging to him, in illegal minimization of tax liabilities, subject to payment to the budget as well as in appropriation of these budget funds.
The specified illegal actions of Yanukovych Junior and the group of unestablished persons led to the actual non-receipt of funds, amounting to UAH 42.598 million, by the state budget.
It should be reminded that as per the data of Ex-Minister of Justice Olena Lukash, the EU court obligated Ukraine to reimburse claims expenses in the amount of UAH 378.4 ths to Yanukovych and his sons in the case on appealing against the material sanctions, introduced by the European Union against them. In Ukraine’s Ministry of Justice the application was refuted.
