Shevchenko was found innocent on corruption charges.
The Solomensky District Court exonerated the Ex-Minister of Ecology Ihor Shevchenko from corruption charges, as it is said in the court decision.
According to him, on March 22, the court closed a case against Shevchenko due to the absence of the set of all elements of corruption offence, ordering that the politician did not violate the par.2 of part 2 of article 28 of the Law On Prevention of Corruption and the conflict of interests in actions of Ex-Minister was absent.
As the court ruling was not appealed by General Prosecutor’s Office, then it came into force on April 1.
It should be reminded that on June 22 of the previous year Prime-Minister Arsenii Yatseniuk asked the Verkhovna Rada to dismiss Head of the Ministry of Health and Natural Resources Shevchenko.
In reply Shevchenko accused Yatseniuk of “political massacre” as well as corruption and upholding of interests of Ukrainian clans.
On July 2, the people’s deputies released Ihor Shevchenko from the position of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources.
It should be noted that the talks regarding Shevchenko’s resignation started after Leader of Radical Party Oleh Lyashko claimed that during the fire on oil plant near Kyiv the Minister of Ecology was on vacation in Nice and Monaco, from where he returned by Alexander Onyshchenko’s private jet.
