The solar energy is one of advanced line of development of renewable energy in Ukraine, Head of Department of Renewable Sources of Energy and Alternative Types of Fuel of State Energy Efficiency Dmitrii Kovalenko said, delivering speech on the fifth International Conference “Solar Energy of the Eastern Europe and Ukraine” CISOLAR-2016 Odessa”.
“Statistical data acknowledge the viability of development of solar energy. Thus, as of March 1, 2016, the installed capacity of facilities of “green” energy, operating according to “green” tariff, is 1492 MWt. 56% out of them (839 MWt) are the facilities of solar energy”, he said.
According to him, in accordance with the National Action Plan on Renewable Energy it is planned to increase the capacity of solar energy facilities to 2300 MWt until 2020.
During his speech Dmitrii Kovalenko also outlined key provisions of the Law of Ukraine № 514-VIII “On Introduction of Amendments to Certain Laws of Ukraine regarding ensuring competitive conditions of production of electrical energy from alternative sources of energy” and positive consequences from its implementation. In particular, the “green” tariff, which is estimated according to euro rate, has been introduced with capacity up to 30 kWt, for solar electrical stations of private households, which reduces inflation risks.
“Yes, in 2015 the quantity of solar panels, installed by households, increased 11 times versus 2014. The approved “green” tariff in the amount of 20.03 eurocents per kWt*h enabled it”, he noted.
“We continue to create legislative stimulants for development of this market”, Dmitrii Kovalenko noted.
