MINISTRY OF ECOLOGY AND NATURAL RESOURCES OF UKRAINE, the Governmental portal reports.
Today, on May 17, at the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources on the implementation of international project “Support of Natural Conservation Area in Ukraine”, opening the meeting, the Minister noted: “We are beginning from the start of implementation of such important for environmental protection sphere international project. Ukraine is interested in its fastest implementation and the team of professionals of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources is ready to actively start working”.
The Minister emphasized that it is necessary to work on implementation of project in Ukraine most rapidly, transparently and openly.
Semerak also thanked the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany for allocation of 14 million euros for development of natural parks, biospherical and natural reserves of Ukraine.
“The implementation of European experience in environmental protection sphere is very important. The implementation of this project will allow renewing natural conservation areas of Ukraine, preserving the unique biodiversity of the country and will attract a large quantity of tourists”, - Ostap Semerak noted.
It should be reminded that the project production became possible after the Government signed and the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine ratified the “Agreement on Financial Cooperation”. The implementation of project started on 1 May 2016.
