Import duty should be €1 per liter, lawmakers say
Deputies Andrii Senchenko (BYuT) and Kateryna Vashchuk (Party of Regions) filed a bill which proposes to increase import duty on foreign-made wine to € 1 per liter (current rate is € 0.3 per liter), as contained in the bill filed to the Verkhovna Rada on June 4.
Moreover, they suggest to cancel a zero rate for importing vermouth, brandy and whiskey. Instead, it is proposed to introduce for the aforementioned beverages a fee of €1 per 1 liter of vermouth and €3.5 per 1 liter of cognac, brandy and whiskey.
