The representatives of Chinese delegation have expressed their interest in the possibility to grow and process products in Ukraine, UBR reports.

China is interested in expansion and growth in export of Ukrainian agricultural products as well as in possibilities to manufacture products in Ukraine.

This was said during the meeting of Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Taras Kutovoi with the delegation of Shandong Province, headed by Vice President of the Province Yun Suan, the press-office of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy reports.

In particular, according to the Ministry, the parties discussed the possibility of export of sunflower oil, oil cake and sorghum. The representatives of Chinese delegation also expressed interest in possibilities to grow and process products in Ukraine.

On his part, Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food Taras Kutovoi reported that Ukraine is interested in increasing export of their products with added value. Because the development of farms will help to transform Ukraine’s agriculture from raw material to processing industry.

“The expansion of agrarian market will lead to the demand in related industries: equipment, farming machinery, crop protecting agents, fertilizers. I believe that Chinese side has good opportunities to participate in growth of this market in Ukraine”, - Taras Kutovoi emphasized.

It should be reminded that the new team of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy, headed by Minister Taras Kutovoi, developed the concept, called “3+5”, which provides concrete steps of reforming the agricultural industry of Ukraine.

It includes 3 important priorities: state support of farmers, development of state enterprises as well as honest and transparent turnover of land. There are five directions, stemming from them: development of rural areas, expansion of selling market, organic production and niche crops, irrigation and security of food products.
