The funds will be allocated in 2016 for implementation of reforms, Correspondent.net reports.
This year the USA will allocate USD 220 million for conducting economic, political and energy reforms, White House’s press-office reports on the results of the meeting between Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Hroisman and US Vice President Joe Biden in Washington.
The funds will reportedly be allocated for speeding up the customs reform, the reform of judicial system within anticorruption fighting, the expansion of measures on decentralization and support of energy safety.
These initiatives are the part of aid program in the amount of USD 1.3 billion, which US government has been implementing since 2015 for implementation of reforms in Ukraine.
In addition, in early June the Oversea Private Investment Corporation (OPIC) approved the allocation of USD 62.5 million to two private investment funds, which will invest to different fields of Ukrainian economy.
“These two lines of investments will be done in addition to OPIC capital investments for the amount of USD 185 million, including USD 73 million of insurance and USD 97 million”.
