The Ukrainian businessman Boris Kauffman states about the intention of acquiring the major share of stocks of Platinum Bank PJSC in the amount of 75% + 1 share, the bank’s press-office reports, the Economic Truth reports.
As it is said, on August 1, 2016, the document package was submitted to the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) for obtaining the relevant permission of the regulator.
Meanwhile, Boris Kauffman intends to participate in subscription for new shares and vest UAH 120 mln in the authorized capital of Platinum Bank.
“For a long time I have been cooperating with Platinum Bank in different business directions and always highly appreciated the level of management, culture, values and philosophy of the bank. That’s why I am ready to concentrate on the major share of stocks and participate in additional emission of the bank in the amount of UAH 120 mln”, his press-office quotes Kauffman.
It should be reminded that today it was reported that the Platinum Bank shareholder decided to increase the authorized capital of financial institution by UAH 120 mln.
Kauffman is the founder of Vertex United investment company, the composition of which includes hotel assets (“Bristol”, “London”, “President-Otel’”), media assets (journals “Focus”, “Focus. Beautiful Country”, focus.ua”) and investment projects. Boris Kauffman is also the co-owner of the largest Ukrainian distribution company TEDIS Ukraine.
Platinum Bank is one of the largest participants of the banking system of Ukraine. The bank belongs to I group of banks according to the rating of the National bank of Ukraine (more than 0.5% of assets of the banking system).
