“During the process of customs reforming we actively implement best world practices, which have already proved their effectiveness”, - Chairman of State Fiscal Service of Ukraine Roman Nasyrov commented on the beginning of operation of the “single window” at customs check points of the SFS.
Today, the “single window” is one of the most effective global electronic data exchange system at customs during import-export or transit transactions (customs, sanitary-epidemiological, veterinary-sanitary, phytosanitary, ecological, radiological and others types of control).
The entrepreneurs already work with customs officers, using the “single window”, the first customs documents were executed in the city of Dnipro. “This is just the beginning. The system still works in the test mode, but soon the number of cargo handling through the “single window” will significantly increase”, SFS Chairman noted.
According to Roman Nasyrov, the implementation of the “single window” is important for Ukraine. Because it will help reduce the number of processes, simplify different procedures and minimize the human factor while the commodities are passing through the customs. Consequently, the Single Window is, first of all, the creation of conditions for transparent work and elimination of corruption on the customs.
