The accounts of Businessman Bakhmatiuk, amounting to UAH 1.2 billion, are also seized, Correspondent.net reports.
In Kyiv, the court ordered to seize the properties of Businessperson Oleg Bakhmatiuk as well as his accounts at the bank “Financial Initiative” and VAB Bank, amounting to UAH 1.2 billion, NBU reports.
“We are talking about the amount of UAH 1.2 billion under the loan agreement of VAB Bank, in which O. Bakhmatiuk is the financial guarantor. Within the specified proceeding, the O.Bakhmatiuk’s house, located in the Kyiv region with total area of 1.049 ths square meters, was seized”, NBU explains.
It should be reminded that last year NBU decided to revoke the banking license and liquidate VAB Bank, which operated in Ukraine since 1992 and ranked 16th in 2014 in terms of the amount of assets (UAH 23.973 billion), among 166 operating banks of the country.
The largest shareholder of the bank is Oleh Bakhmatiuk (86.7 percent), which was also the 100% beneficiary of the bank “Financial Initiative”, declared insolvent in June 2015.
