The Ministry of Infrastructure conducts negotiations with global operator Hutchison Ports, which is ready to put into one of the largest ports of Ukraine, Minister of Infrastructure Vladimir Omelyan told Espreso.TV.
According to him, jointly with the Ministry of Economic Development the draft law on concessions, which should become the universal law for all industries, is being prepared.
“We are preparing technical and economic feasibility for model ports, which we chose. So we could speak with investors in the language of facts, figures, documents, and not just declarations and slogans. The works in seaports such as “Olvia” and “Kherson” have started. I hope that we will also be able to put into other ports. Alongside this, we are working with investors”, the Minister noted.
According to the Minister, only top global companies are capable of creating high-tech, modern jobs in Ukraine.
“For this purpose, we conduct negotiations with global operator Hutchison Ports, which is ready to put into one of the largest ports of Ukraine. And with the port operator DP World, which is number three in the world and one of the most technical companies”, – Omelyan said.
He claims that, if these companies are in Ukraine, then you may be calm for the sea industry, as they will give those examples, to which other seaports will follow.
Previously the minister reported that the next year should become the year of entry of European low-costs into Ukrainian air market.
