Parliament approves in the second reading Bill № 11259
The Verkhovna Rada approved in the second reading Bill № 11259, which introduces the environmental tax on disposal of vehicles.
Under the law, domestic car manufacturers with complete production cycle can carry out recycling on their own. Duty they pay will be directed to a special bank account from which setting up utilization facilities will be funded. For the time being Ukraine has only two such enterprises: «Ukravto» and «Bogdan».
The law provides that payers of tax on recycling of vehicles taken out of use are persons that import into the customs territory of Ukraine vehicles and car bodies under the customs regime of import, as well as production (manufacturing) of vehicles within the customs territory of Ukraine; purchase vehicles from persons that are not payers of this tax.
