Amount of outstanding loans of Ukraine is about $8 billion
The International Monetary Fund plans to include Ukraine in the post-monitoring program of stand-by agreement, the term of which expired December 27, 2012. The decision was adopted by IMF Board without a formal discussions on July 26, 2013.
The IMF said that as of June 30, 2013 the outstanding amount of loan of Ukraine is 5.27 billion SDR (approximately $8 billion), representing 383.8% of country’s quota.
«Amount of outstanding loan in Ukraine exceeds the benchmark of 200% of quota, after which post-monitoring usually starts. The first monitoring will be carried out in autumn 2013 with consultations under Article IV (commitment on the exchange rate regime). Discussion of the Executive Council is scheduled for December 2013», - said the IMF.
