The Cabinet of Ministers passed the order on immigrants.
It will be allowed to immigrate to Ukraine for foreign citizens and persons without citizenship, if making investment, amounting to USD 100 thousand.
In 2017, the quota of immigration to Ukraine for foreign citizens and persons without citizenship will be almost 4 thousand persons, as it is said in the order of the Cabinet of Ministers, posted in its official website, Correspondent.net reports.
According to the government order, this year, 2.2 ths people, who are spouses of citizens of Ukraine and their children, may immigrate to Ukraine. 1.1 ths people, who are close relatives, may also immigrate to the country. Other 558 people can reinstate their citizenship.
The order of the Cabinet of Ministers notes that the quotas for workers of science and culture, the immigration of whom corresponds to the interests of Ukraine, the persons, who made investments in the country’s economy, amounting to USD 100 ths, are not established.
There are no quotas either for highly qualified specialists and workers, “the critical need of whom is palpable for the economy of Ukraine”.
As Correspondent.net reports, six thousand Russians became the citizens of Ukraine for two years.
Meanwhile, in 2016, almost 17 thousand people received Ukrainian citizenship. Out of them, 809 foreigners and persons without citizenship were admitted to Ukrainian citizenship upon their petitions by the orders of the President.
