The gross external debt of Ukraine as of January 1 was USD 113.483 billion.
The gross external debt of Ukraine as of January 1, 2017, decreased by 4.4% (5,246,000,000 dollars) versus the same indicator in 2016 and was 113.483 bln dollars, the press office of the National Bank of Ukraine reports, according to Correspondent.net.
According to the regulator’s data, in QIV 2016, the gross external debt decreased by 2.532 dollars (2.2%). In particular, the debt of the central bank decreased by 3.7% in QIV 2016 and by 6.9% for the whole previous year, and was USD 6.242 bln.
Meanwhile, the direct investments (interfirm debt) in QIV 2016 decreased by 0.9%. In the meantime, during the year, they increased by 0.6%, up to USD 8.614 bln.
It should be reminded that the total amount of the state and state-guaranteed debt of Ukraine as of late December 2016 was USD 70.97 bln.
