The order on the prolongation of sanctions against RF bans Vkontakte, Yandex and Odnoklassniki.

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko implemented the decision of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) dd. April 28 on extending the list of individuals and legal entities. The wording of the order is published on the official site of the President of Ukraine on Tuesday, May 16, Correspondent.net reports.

As reported by the Presidential Administration, the extended list included 1,228 individuals and 468 legal entities. The period of validity of the sanctions against legal entities was prolonged from one year up to three years, against individuals - up to one year, three years, five years and life.

In particular, the order stipulates blocking the access to social media, such as Vkontakte and Odnoklassniki, as well as Mail.Ru Group and Yandex (but the search engine will work).

The sanctions were also imposed against RBC, “TV Center”, VGTRC, “NTV Plus” and “Zvezda” as well as Kaspersky Lab and Dr. Web. Internet providers were ordered to block the access to his online resources.

Meanwhile, according to the document, several President’s previous orders, relating to sanctions, become invalid.

The today’s order comes into force from its publishing, the control over which is imposed on NSDC’s Secretary Alexander Turchinov.

Previously Poroshenko said that the additional sanctions may be introduced against Russia, if it declines to fulfill the final judgement of International Court of Justice.
