Mykola Chynchyn is new head investigator
Vitalii Zakharchenko introduced a new head of Central Investigation Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine - Mykola Chynchyn, the Interior Ministry’s press service reports.
Interior Minister has set the newly appointed head of CID a number of assignments and tasks to address topical issues in the work of investigation departments.
Minister stressed the that today the investigating administration of internal affairs bodies is facing a very responsible challenge - to ensure effective work in the new CCP, observance of constitutional rights of citizens and increasing public confidence in the police.
According to the Minister, there are still issues that need to be addressed comprehensively. This includes investigation of official crimes, whose competence is transferred from the prosecutors to internal affairs bodies, as well as other issues in the work of investigative units.
