During 6 months, 1.7 million violations registered

In the first half 2013 officers of the State traffic inspectorate detected 970 thousand 800 administrative violations of traffic rules. Last year similar violations amounted to 1 million 559 thousand, Tyzhden.ua informs with reference to the State traffic inspectorate of the Interior Ministry.

In particular, this year the most part - 448.3 thousand of detected violations related to speeding, crossing against forbidding traffic signal and other violations (Article 122 of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offences). Last year traffic police registered 894.1 thousand similar violations.

SAI detected 102.5 thousand violations of driving rules, rules for use of seat belts or helmet (Art. 121 CAO), while in 2012 the number was 197.7 thousand. This year the traffic police have also found 83.9 thousand violations of Art. 130 CAO (operating a vehicle or vessel by persons who are in a state of alcoholic, narcotic or other intoxication or under the influence of drugs, impairing their attention and reaction rate), compared to 177.7 thousand last year.

63.9 thousand administrative offenses were classified under Art. 124 CAO (traffic violations, which resulted in damage to vehicles, cargo, roads, streets, railway crossings, road facilities or other property). During last year the number amounted to 146 thousand.

«In 2012 for administrative offenses in road safety 1 million 225 thousand people were fined; in I half this year it is 661,5 thousand. The total fines amounted to 376 million 962 thousand in 2012; in I half of 2013 - 192 million 329 thousand», traffic police report.
