Cabinet at its session 18 September will examine the text of the EU Association Agreement
This was announced on Tuesday by Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov at a meeting with the co-chairs of EP monitoring mission Aleksander Kwasniewski and Pat Cox, the press service of the Cabinet reports.
At the Government meeting on 18 September, we will examine the text of the Association Agreement with the European Union, and then we will start domestic procedures necessary for signing», Mykola Azarov stated. He stressed that the text of the agreement was published in open sources, public opinion has been considered, as well as that of experts, representatives of various political forces. The Prime Minister added that the head of the EU Delegation to Ukraine Jan Tombinski is also invited to this meeting.
The Prime Minister also expressed hope that the visit of European Parliament's mission will be successful, and in particular will further the work of the Ukraine towards signing the Association Agreement.
Mykola Azarov also reminded that today the Government and the Parliament have agreed schedule of examination and approval of all relevant laws for European integration.
In turn, Aleksander Kwasniewski said that the signing of the Association Agreement and the FTA would benefit both Ukraine and the EU. «I am absolutely convinced that the Association Agreement and free trade zone will help both you and us, and we will have a good basis for the development of good neighborly relations with Russia» he said.
