NBU Deputy Governor Ekaterina Rozhkova considers that nationalized PrivatBank does not have the assets, which could be sold through ProZorro.
There is nothing to sell in PrivatBank. It can be presented with extra charge – NBU, she told during the annual Ukrainian Financial Forum, EP reports quoting Ukrainian News.
“There is nothing to sell in PrivatBank, let us leave it out of the brackets. It can be presented to someone with extra charge”, Rozhkova responded to the question about the possible sale of non-performing assets of state banks through ProZorro.
She noted that the Ministry of Finance is the owner of state banks and it is their responsibility.
Rozhkova considers that the main problem of Oshchadbnak and Ukreximbank is the absence of normal corporate governance.
“Oshchadbank and Ukreximbank have no supervisory boards. The corporate governance is completely absent”, - she noted.
According to NBU Deputy Governor, as of today, there is a developed draft law on establishing corporate governance in state banks.
She noted that this issue concerns Ukrgasbank, because there it is the lowest NPL (Non-Performing Loans) level.
It should be reminded that the Ministry of Finance suggests changing the system of election of supervisory boards of state banks and entrusting them with the functions of independence from the influence of major shareholder.
