The National Energy and Utilities Regulatory Commission issued licenses for the natural gas supply to DTEK Naftogaz LLC of Rinat Akhmetov and Khimvector LLC, the final beneficiary of which through Cyprian Valanox Investments Limited is Dmitri Firtash.
The commission approved the respective decision at the meeting on Wednesday, Interfax-Ukraine reports.
DufEnergy Ukraine LLC, the subsidiary of the Swiss trader DufEnergy, Fortex Energy LLC CEO WOG of Sergei Koretskii, TAS Energy of Country LLC of Sergei Tigipko, controlled by Rosneft NC, LINIK PJSC and Startnafta Ukraina LLC, which specializes in LPG trade also obtained the license.
In general, the commission issued the respective licenses to 24 companies.
As reported, as of November 2017, NEURC issued about 350 licenses for gas supply in Ukraine. In particular, the large global companies and traders, represented by Trafigura, Engie, MET, obtained the licenses.
NEURC carries out public regulation of the activities of the subjects of natural monopolies in the electrical energy, heat supply, oil and gas complex, centralized water supply and water sewerage, household water management and disposal as well as ensures conducting the price and tariff policy in these spheres.
