Backup and Sync will start fully working instead of Google Drive.
Some Ukrainian editions reported that Ukrainian users of Google Drive started receiving the messages about the soon termination of operation of applications for personal computers. In this March, the service will be finally closed, according to the Google’s blog, Ukrainian News reports.
The first message about closure of the popular service of the company appeared on September 6, 2017. Then the users were warned that the service support will terminate, and in March 12, it will be finally closed. The users will be able to obtain access to their data through mobile and web application Google Drive.
The company took this decision after the launch of services Backup and Sync for regular users and Drive File Streamer for corporate clients. The data from Google Drive, which the company called “obsolete”, will not disappear and will automatically be transferred to new applications.
“Say goodbye to the time-consuming file synchronization and problems with disc space”, the company reported.
