The National Bank supports the draft resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine On Approval of Requirements to Business Entities Regarding Accepting Electronic Payments for Sold Goods (Provided Services), according to NBU’s press-office, Ukrinform reports.
“This document (draft resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers On Approval of Requirements to Business Entities Regarding Accepting Electronic Payments for Sold Goods (Provided Services) will contribute to enforcement of the rights of Ukrainians to the free choice of payment method and a wide development of the payment infrastructure. His norms obligate the goods sellers and services providers to provide the clients with the opportunity to make retail cashless payments for the goods or services. The cashless payment ensures convenient, quick and reliable service. In addition, for the client, the cashless settlements are safe, while for the state – transparent, as well as provide opportunity to optimize expenses for cash turnover”, the message says.
The National Bank is confident that the consolidated and consecutive state policy will provide opportunity to increase the share of cashless settlements and widen the infrastructure of services of electronic means of payment in Ukraine. It will bring our country to the living standards of developed countries, will encourage to actively develop modern services and technologies, will speed up reduction of the scales of shadow economy, will contribute to ensuring the stable operation of the banking system.
