$359.2 million transferred
12 November 2013 the National Bank of Ukraine transferred to the International Monetary Fund (equivalent of) $359.2 million, ensuring timely and full implementation of Ukraine's commitments set forth in the loan agreement of the parties for the current year, the press service of the Bank informs.
In accordance with loan repayment schedule, during 2013 Ukraine has paid (equivalent of) $5,602.9 million to the International Monetary Fund.
"Ukraine has confirmed its status as a reliable borrower across international community and will continue to timely fulfill its obligations", the head of the National Bank of Ukraine Ihor Sorkin noted.
According to Ihor Sorkin, in 2014 the total amount payable on the loan to the International Monetary Fund will be significantly less than this year, amounting to $ 3663.4 million (equivalent).
For 2015, this will be the last year of implementation of the relevant credit obligations. Total payments this year will be the lowest for the entire period of the loan contract and will make $1,484.5 million (equivalent).
