In late April, the largest oil producing company – Ukrnafta – and TAS Country’s Energy of Sergei Tigipko put up gas for sale through the Ukrainian Energy Exchange (UEE), the press office of the trading platform reported.
“In the last week of April, the active trade with natural gas from April and May resources was launched on Ukrainian Energy Exchange. In particular, Ukrnafta debuted at the auction […], a new company with its resource – TAS Country’s Energy – appeared on UEE”, the message says.
Meanwhile, according to UEE’s data, at the end of the week, the gas price was reduced by 100-150 UAH / 1 ths cub. m. versus prices at the beginning of the week. In total, the price varied within UAH 8,871 – 8,871 for 1 ths cub. m.
In April, UEE conducted 21 trading sessions on the natural gas trade; 94 contracts, totaling UAH 168.3 mln, were signed.
Ukrnafta is the largest oil producing company of Ukraine. It owns 537 gas stations in most regions of Ukraine. Naftogaz of Ukraine owns 50%+1 share of Ukrnafta. The companies, falling into the sphere of influence of Igor Kolomoisky’s Privat Group, own about 42% (13.6% belong to Littop Enterprises Limited and Bridgemont Ventures Limited, 12.9% - Bordo Management Limited, 9.9% - other shareholders).
