The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) registered a new system for transferring funds – Globus, the regulator’s press office reports.
The payment system was created for making cash and non-cash transfers from individuals and legal entities in favor of individuals.
In May 4, 2018, NBU issued a respective certificate to the payment organization of this system – Globus Bank.
Globus Bank was registered in 2007. Elena Silnyagina and Dmitri Polkovsky were the key participants, indirectly through Ukrainian Media Technologies.
According to the data of the National Bank, as of January 1, 2018, in terms of the amount of total assets, Globus Bank ranked 38th (UAH 2.4 bln) among 84 banks, operating in the country.
As NBU notes, it is already the eighteenth international payment system on the Ukrainian market.
It should be reminded that last year, in autumn, NBU registered the internal state payment system City 24.
In early May, CEO of Apple Tim Cook announced the launch of Apple Pay in Ukraine. It happened within the next months. Except for Ukraine, the system will start operating also in Norway and Poland. U.S. company CEO has not yet revealed any other details.
