The Scientific and Technical Board of the State Service of Geology and Mineral Resources of Ukraine recommended putting on the auction the special permissions for 9 oil and gas fields soon, the press office of the State Service of Geology and Mineral Resources of Ukraine reported.
“To date, our scientists offer 9 licensed fields, which are mainly located in the eastern region of Ukraine. It is Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv, Sumy and Poltava regions. Their total territory is over 1.5 ths sq.m. According to the preliminary estimates, the resource potential of hydrocarbons for offered extraction spots is over 30 mln tons of the fuel equivalent”, acting head of the agency Oleg Kyryliuk noted.
According to him, in total, in 2018, the State Service of Geology and Mineral Resources of Ukraine plans to put on auction over 40 oil & gas licenses.
On August 9, the State Service of Geology and Mineral Resources of Ukraine plans to hold the first auction in 2018 on selling special permissions for resources management.
It should be noted that the participants of the oil and gas market of Ukraine criticize the State Service of Geology and Mineral Resources of Ukraine because of the absence of auctions for oil & gas licenses and the provision of special permissions beyond the competition through the testing mechanism.
