In October 2016, Parallel-M paid the fine, amounting to almost UAH 3 mln, imposed by the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine (AMCU) (inclusive of the penalty) for anticompetitive concerted actions, Network’s CEO Hristo Ivanchev told, enkorr reports.
“We already paid the fine. We passed through all the stages of appeal, all the instances, the decision was anyway not in our favor. We fulfilled the court decision”, the CEO of the company said.
He added that the company does not agree with the committee’s conclusions, because it did not enter into any price collusion. “There was no collusion, we did not and do not negotiate on the price”, Ivanchev emphasized.
It should be reminded that in October 2016, AMCU imposed the fine, amounting to UAH 204.3 mln, on seven oil traders for anticompetitive concerted actions on the market.
In particular, OKKO Nefteproduct received a large punishment, amounting to UAH 77.8 mln. Two companies, associated with WOG activities, were fined for UAH 16.2 mln and UAH 54.3 mln respectively. Alliance Holding – for UAH 39.7 mln, AMIK Ukraine – for UAH 12,5 mln, SOKAR Petroleum – for UAH 2.5 mln and Parallel – for UAH 1.4 mln.
The penalty, amounting to UAH 1.4 mln, was imposed on Parallel. That is, the company paid AMCU almost UAH 2.9 mln in total.
