Oshchadbank became the second Ukrainian bank, which Apple Pay launched, Chairman of the bank Andrei Pyshny wrote in Facebook.
“We made Apple Pay available for everybody! To use the pay function, it is not obligatory to have Oshchadbank card (though I advise to get it issued). It is enough to call the contact center of Oshchadbank and obtain the digital instant prepaid card. It can be connected to Apple Pay and you may freely use the application”, Pyshny noted.
“Free of charge! Without branch banks, filling in the registration forms or any other formalities”, he added.
Chairman of Oshchadbank also reminded that Apple Pay is based on the security and confidentiality.
“If you add the credit or debit card in Apple Pay, the card number is not saved either in the device, or on Apple servers. The unique number of the accounting record is assigned to you, encoded and, under in the protected mode, saved in the microchip “Safe Element” of your device. The authorization of each transaction is done through generation of the unique single dynamic protected code”, he wrote.
It should be reminded that in Ukraine there are over 2 mln devices, supporting the system of contactless payments Apple Pay.
Reportedly, on May 17, the largest in Ukraine Privatbank launched the payment service Apple Pay.
Later, Privatbank opened the function to pay through Apple Pay for the clients of any Ukrainian bank.
