A draft resolution has been published
The Ministry of Economic Development of Ukraine, under the authority of the Prime-Minister of Ukraine, has prepared a draft resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine expounding some issues of implementing the provisions set out in subpar. 197.1.1 of par. 197.1 of article 197 of the Tax Code of Ukraine, the press-service of the ministerial department reports.
The draft resolution proposes adopting a list of baby products, goods and food for kids, the delivery of which, pursuant to subpar. 197.1.1 of par. 197.1 of article 197 of the Tax Code of Ukraine, will be exempt from VAT.
This resolution’s objective is to reduce the burden of raising prices for consumers buying food and other goods for kids.
Moreover, this document proposes declaring the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine passed on 08.09.1997 under № 996 to be null and void, it contains a list of food of domestic manufacturers for kids, the sale of which through milk kitchens, specialized baby shops and points-of-sales that distribute the said products has been exempted from VAT, and sets out the procedure for sale of the products enumerated above.
