Ukrainian Customs Office has achieved European temporal standards for filling out customs declarations
In March 2013 the average time of customs declaration registration in the mode of import was 1 hour 26 minutes, and 40 minutes for export, reports the press service of the Ministry of Revenue and duties.
Customs Code of Ukraine, assessed by the EU Commission as that in line with the European standards of customs, provides for the maximum time of customs clearance of 4 hours.
These figures illustrate the Ministry's comprehensive approach to working with the Ukrainian business. Firstly, electronic declarations were introduced, thereby completely eliminating subjective approach to processing customs declarations. Secondly, a system of risk analysis was implemented, which allows to detect risky foreign economic transactions without delays in processing other declarations. Thirdly, the post-audit control system is in place, which allows analyzing the legality of foreign economic transactions after their completion.
