NBU’s resolution No. 699
The National Bank of Ukraine has assigned the status of non-residents of Ukraine to the people living in Crimea, the resolution passed by the Management Board of the NBU adopted on November 3, 2014, under No.699, says.
Pursuant to the official document, to transfer the money from continental Ukraine to the territory of Crimea or vice versa, from Crimea to the Ukrainian mainland, is to be done according to the procedure set out in the regulatory documents of the National Bank of Ukraine concerning money remittance from/to Ukraine.
Moreover, the NBU’s resolution bans the Ukrainian residents from investing in any ventures, projects or facilities located (registered) in the territory of Crimea.
Besides, transferring the Russian roubles in cash through cross-border points with Crimea Free Trade Zone is prohibited, except in case of their transfer by natural persons, the amount of which does not exceed 10000 hryvnias or equivalent amount, provided that the amount of money is declared verbally to the customs officer.
