The Ministry of the Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine offers to reimburse a high rate on loans disbursed to the agricultural businesses, said the Minister for Agrarian Policy and Food in Ukraine Olexy Pavlenko, RBK-Ukraine (РБК-Україна) reports.
“Now the agricultural business holds position No1 in terms of export; this is the only sector that has been demonstrating a significant increase year after year. The industry still remains profitable”- said Pavlenko.
But, he is of the opinion that there is a general problem the banking sector is facing now – necessity to maintain a liquidity ratio.
“We’ve already discussed this issue with the NBU, but it goes to... Hryvnia financing can entail problems due to a high rate. One of the issues we’ve proposed to tackle is the compensation rate, but it will be thoroughly considered at the meeting of the Verkhovna Rada’s budget committee. We’ll see whether there is a possibility to enter changes until February 15”, - said Pavlenko.
